Summertime

I've always been a fan of summer. I enjoy the time off of school, although by August I'm itching to get back into the classroom. I've always enjoyed late night softball games and swimming under the stars. However, never have I longed for summer as much as I have this summer.

Having a baby changes things. We had several snow days at Midway and then added two "sick days" on top of it. So we don't get out of school until May 27th...after Memorial Day! I cannot wait for that day. Knowing that I'll get to play with Harlee day-in & day-out makes me really feel like the end of the school year cannot come quick enough.

I love my job. I feel called to teach and I really do enjoy getting up every day and going to work. However, it will be SO exciting this summer to be able to go outside and play with Harlee all day every day.

May 27th...come quickly!!!

Awww... love this blog. I too love teaching- always thought it was the best job but then I became a mommy and to me... that is the ABSOLUTE job. My passion is definitely my kids. We may be the poorest people in Adrian (he he ) money wise but by golly I get to fulfill my passion.
Will pray the 27th rushes here for you. Harlee will be so much fun this summer. We are also looking forward though... may have to take up an offering to put water in our pool!
