In His Steps

We meet each Sunday in the basement at 10:30 am, immediately after services. This adult class was renamed a few years ago while Matt Sears was still the instructor/teacher. The format was changed several months ago to one of studying characters of the Bible. Characters from both Old and New Testaments are chosen by those attending the class. Each study has been somewhat different regarding the way we get to know each of these most amazing people.
This class leans heavily on class participation and with no time limit on how long each character is studied, we try to find answers for all the questions that are brought to light.
Adults of all ages are invited to join us in these studies for a joyful time of fellowship and learning more about the wonderful life our Saviour Jesus Christ has given us. Let us all try to walk "In His steps".
Sue and I look forward to seeing everyone of you Sunday Morning. Don Arndt

I think you are right. We also have to think of Mary, not only as the mother of our Saviour, but the mother in a real family, with real problems. Will will be discussing many angles in class, such as how is Mary feeling when a sibling of Jesus comes as says to the parents something like this, we have to do something about Jesus, He's in town making a fool out of all of us and himself too.
Also, when we think of Jesus on the cross, we need to try to understand what his mother is going through while watching her son die. While the young Jesus was growing up, did she know that her beautiful boy would soon have to die a horrible death to become the true King of Kings and Saviour of the world? We'll search for answers Sunday morning. see you there! Don

I think of Mary having so much faith. To be chosen as the one that would have Jesus but I don't thnk at the time she knew everything that he had to go through.

Hi Don,
This is Debbie Whorton. Could you add comments and discussions on the church site maybe from class or when you'd think of something. It would be a great way for me to participate as I teach the little ones on Sunday morning. Thanks
